INDIAN CHRISTMAS TREE

The tree is up but it looks like a cross between Diwali and Christmas with pearl strings being twined around it! And it is leaning like the Tower of Pisa. The tree was done up by a muslim! One Malaysia!

Its chicken pie dinner from Dave's Deli tonight and I have to go get my facial wash, before I get uglier without my skin care. Been out of it for a month now. With full time work, there is little time to do anything else. Too little time for self indulgence or rather just too lazy after work.

Gonna have a big whopper of a breakfast tomorrow, can't wait!

ANOTHER STAB ON THE BACK!

Twice now the driver has stabbed my back...Got hold of information about boss itinerary and took the opportunity to skip work. Then he was speeding was supposed to pay the fine and he blamed me for saying that it would be paid by the boss. What a bummer! Just silly old trusting me... Never learn the lesson ever, I am just too trusting. Got to learn to be sly!

Miracle! I was just thinking about my old school friends, those who don't care too hoots about me, googled some of them to no luck and then today, one my oldest childhood friend called and had a quick chat. She is the only one I have know since I was like 6. Seems she kept in touch with some of the girls.

Might meet up with one of them when I am in Australia. They'd be shocked to see how big I have become. One real big MAMA MIA!

NEWSPAPER CAR WIPER

Newspaper on Windscreen Wiper

And I thought it would be another boring day!

Had a boring nestum lunch, a good chat but after lunch was amusing. My colleague came back from lunch, parked her car next to mine and found my newspaper from home stuck in the rear windscreen wiper!

I had driven 15km with the newspaper stuck behind. Talk about advertising! What a sight it must have been for those following behind me! People must be telling my story around. Ha ha ha ha ha!

Headache's gone so it's a nice day after all....

LAZY WEEKEND

Sleeping and A Snorin!

Had a huge Seri Melur roti canai breakfast on Saturday. When will my diet ever start! Had a huge Little Master Kitchen tim sum brunch on Sunday. When will the eating stop? Then nap, nap and more naps....totally happy!

Been through a break-down season for us. Air con down, then Astro down, now fan is broken...What next? Everytime this happens it's blamed on me for some reason or other. Wonder why, in my husband's syllabus there is no such thing as wear and tear....Ah Well!

2nd week into November. Can't wait for December to come and for the other Jasmine to come back to take over the reigns....

WHAT A DINNER!

At d'Tandoor's

Yesterday night, it was raining but nevertheless, we got into our little Mr Bean car and headed out to dinner at d'Tandoor at Subang Jaya.

Husband, wife, teenage daughter and 8 year old son. Our total order was 1 chicken dish, 1 prawn dish, 1 vege dish, 1 order of puri, 2 orders of butter naans, 2 orders of briyani, 1 order of vege naan, 2 drinks and 3 desserts totalling RM155 and 4 round tummies going home. The tyres of the car flattened by 2 more inches.

All went home happy that our indian cravings were satisfied!

Someone commented on a website that their food wasn't good but I beg to differ as it was good enough for this family of four!

Though gloomy today, do have an enjoyable one nevertheless!!

WET BLANKETS & BUCKET OF ICE

So Far 3 Wet Ones

To be honest, 2 wet blankets and a bucket of ice!

Wet Blanket One:
My husband bursted through the roof on the amount of money needed to work with the publishing house. Cited all my past projects being failures coupled with loss of income. Talk about giving me a chance to pull this through! When asked for another solution or advise, non was given...Roadblock!

Blanket No. 2
This was handled pretty diplomatically. My godmother asked around and found out that it would be quite impossible to sell to hospitals because they would rather have free copies to hand out. Then she told me about another aunt's failure in selling her tape recordings of her singing. Loss of money...Its not just about the money. Its about accomplishing something that has been given the green light to publish. Its about sharing my stories to help others.

Bucket of Ice:
My mother is upset with my book, talk about discouragement. She called it shit stuff then through my sister, she explained that she was worried that my family and I would be defamed, what so nice about talking of such a shameful thing...but that's the whole idea, who wants to read about good stuff, its the bad and ugly truth that can result in good and if it can help others get better, WHY NOT?

However, I have received more than 10 responses to NOT GIVE UP and have even secured a sponsor!

I REST MY CASE!
Thanks Google Image for the pictures!

PUBLISHERS SAID "YES" TO MY BOOK!

But only to part of it! Bugger!

Went for the meeting, and it went just ok. They said it was good, thatI had a good writing style and the stories were unbelieveably true, just needed to have it cleaned up a bit, that they would take part of the production of it, that they would edit, produce, promote, market and distribute it but I would have to come up with taking more than half of the cost. So how la? Keeping options open, looking for other publishing houses.

Good news is that I have already been offered a sponsorship. If publishing house fails, we will self publish it and distribute it, do it the slow and steady way whilst I complete my second book.

God has opened my door and I shall go through it and see where it leads me to. Thanks be to God and Christ All Mighty!
